Another of our creative activities, there is simply no limit to what can be done with a cupcake. All you need is a can-do attitude, a small amount of creativity, and a team armed with icing and away you go, so much fun but be warned – it can be very messy!
We will give the group an expert demonstration on how to make perfect cupcakes, this will be followed by decorating with butter cream, royal icing, piping techniques, modelling with sugar paste, and colouring techniques! All accompanied with hand-outs packaging and recipes for guests to take home!
Want a competitive edge?
Teams will have to create their own cupcake brand with a niche concept complete with their iced cupcakes and packaging ready for us to judge. We will be looking for a good use of skills, teamwork, originality, and flair to win! We will give bonus points for company branding or ethics that are brought in to the cakes or sales pitch. There will be a vast range of colours, powders, glitters sweets and treats to use, there is simply no limit to what theme can be done with a cupcake.

12:00 Events crew arrive onsite and set up, this can be at any venue or location nationwide and beyond.
13:50 Room is set and our event host will meet your point of contact.
14:00 We warmly welcome your guests and explain what is to be expected of them, guests are put into teams (unless pre-selected) and go to their cooking zones. Hats and aprons are put on and a Head Chef (who will be awarded the head chef hat) is appointed by each team
14:15 Some good housekeeping with a health and safety briefing relevant to the tasks and venue is given by our host followed by interviewing the head chefs from each team, the briefing and warm up session is rounded off with a “yes chef!” from each team.
14:20 A demonstration is given by our chef, this may be on a big screen for larger groups so all the guests can see and understand the technical skills that are required such as sugar paste molding, presentation techniques, and good food practices.
14:40 Making, baking and decorating cupcakes commences.
16:00 Cooking concludes, and teams must present their cakes to the judges and convince them that theirs is the best!
16:25 The winning team is announced, medals awarded and proud photo moments for the winning team are shared. During the event debrief your host and chef will share the most amusing moments and highlights from the activity and conclude with thank you’s and goodbyes.
