Petit fours translated literally means “little ovens” and are sweet one bite deserts served with coffee at the end of a meal. This is a perfect class or activity for an afternoon or after dinner as a team bonding exercise; learning professional petit fours which can be enjoyed after your team meal or to take home as a sweet treat.

Event Outline

  • Guests will be greeted by our chef and host, this will be followed by dividing the group in to small teams to work together and produce 3 to 5 varieties of petit fours depending on your time restraints.
  • Our chef will begin with a demonstration on making the base materials for the petit fours to include pastry work and chocolate work, guests will taste, shape, mould, dip, and decorate luxury petit fours using their new-found patisserie skills.
  • To conclude watch your guests smile as they elegantly gift wrap their goodies to take home with pulled bow ribbons and gift boxes. Each guest will be expected to make approximately 20 petit fours each.
  • Sample menu — Marx de Champagne truffles, poppy and lemon madeleines, pistachio macaroons, seasonal fruit tartlets, malakoff


This event is not necessarily exclusively sweet items; it can be combined with our sushi, or our canape events to give your team the choice of sweet and savoury goodies to enjoy with us or at home.

12:00 Events crew arrive onsite and set up, this can be at any venue or location nationwide and beyond.

13:50 Room is set and our event host will meet your point of contact.

14:00 We warmly welcome your guests and explain what is to be expected of them, guests are put into teams (unless pre-selected) and go to their colour coded cooking zones. Hats and aprons are put on and a Head Chef (who will be awarded the head chef hat) is appointed by each team

14:15 Some good housekeeping with a health and safety briefing relevant to the tasks and venue is given by our host followed by interviewing the head chefs from each team, the briefing and warm up session is rounded off with a “yes chef!” from each team.

14:20 A demonstration is given by our chef(s) relevant to the menu; this may be on a big screen for larger groups so all the guests can see and understand the technical skills that are required such as knife skills presentation techniques and good food practices.

14:40 Preparing and cooking the food commences

16:00 Cooking concludes, and the judges try the teams’ prize-winning petit fours, while teams try and convince them that theirs are the best!

16:30 The winning team is announced, medals awarded and proud photo moments for the winning team are shared. During the event debrief your host and chef will share the most amusing moments and highlights from the activity and conclude with thank you’s and goodbyes.

17:00 Event crew commence derig (we leave the event space clean and tidy)
