Introduction

There’s a cocktail for everyone, from Bond’s favourite vodka martini, to the blue lagoon from your local spoons. You can experience having the mysterious charm of a cocktail barman, without the pesky customers! Add some flair into your team with our cocktail masterclass and team event.

Event Outline

  • Our team will arrive some time before to get our pop-up bar stations for each team set and ready, with all the equipment you need to get your team muddled!Upon entry your team will receive a cocktail or mocktail already prepared by our expert barman. They will be split into teams (unless it is done as a class) and they will be given a brief introduction by our host. There will be a demonstration covering cocktail and mixology basics and a chance for guests to try out some flair moves!The challenges will be set, and your teams will have to impress our judge with a group flair routine, the layering of drinks, and finally a “mystery mix” will be introduced.  Guests will have to impress our judge with their new-found cocktail knowledge and create a signature cocktail they get to name themselves.Once our judge is suitably tipsy they will decide which team gets the medals, and we will set time for them to have a photo opportunity if they desire.

Itinerary

12:00 Events crew arrive onsite and set up, this can be at any venue or location nationwide and beyond.

13:50 Room is set and our event host will meet your point of contact.

14:00 We warmly welcome your guests and explain what is to be expected of them, guests are put into teams (unless pre-selected) and go to their colour coded mixing zones. A project manager is appointed for each team.

14:15 Some good housekeeping with a health and safety briefing relevant to the tasks and venue is given by our host followed by interviewing the head barmen nominated by each team, the briefing and warm up session is rounded off and cocktail making begins.

14:20 A demonstration is given by our mixologist on making 3 cocktails, this may be on a big screen for larger groups so all the guests can see and understand the technical skills that are required such as knife skills presentation techniques and good food practices.

14:40 Teams recreate cocktails demonstrated and create one of their own design, we will include blackboards for them to mix up a quirky name and present their cocktails.

16:30 Cocktail session concludes and our mixologist tastes signature cocktails created.

16:55 The winning team is announced, medals awarded and proud photo moments for the winning team are shared. During the event debrief your host and chef will share the most amusing moments and highlights from the activity and conclude with thank you’s and goodbyes.

17:00 Event crew commence derig (we leave the event space clean and tidy)
