Team Bake off is one of our most popular activities and is always an immediate hit for both our clients and crew alike. Whenever and wherever you may be considering your event this is hands baking challenge to complete several baking challenges against the clock. Following professional demonstrations teams will immediately have to time manage and organize themselves. During the activity our chefs will make notes and will conclude with a summary to sum up team efforts. Our pop up cookery school and expertise can help budding bakers anywhere in the UK and Europe
Whenever you are deciding to organize an activity for your team we understand it’s difficult to know what event will please everyone. We have specifically tailored this baking challenge to ensure everyone is included. In addition we will provide our amazing pop up kitchen that has been designed for the specific purpose of mobile cookery events. We also bring professional chefs and event managers from all over the UK many of which have Michelin star background in order that you have the very best event the Hartley way!
In short wherever you are, if you are looking for an activity that everyone will enjoy then this is the event for you!
12:00 Your events crew arrive onsite and set up, this can be at any specific venue of your choice nationwide and beyond.
13:50 Room is set, our event host will meet your point of contact in order that any last minute notices or changes can be finalized.
14:00 Your host warmly welcomes your guests and explain what is to be expected of them. Next the host puts guests are put into their teams (unless pre-selected). Guests immediately go to their specific colour coded cooking zones ready for action!. Hats and aprons are put on and a Head Chef is appointed by each team accordingly.
14:15 Some good housekeeping with a health and safety briefing is given by our host followed by interviews of the head chefs from each team, the briefing and warm up session is rounded off with a “yes chef!” from each team.
14:20 A cookery demonstration is given by our chef(s) relevant to the menu or challenge, this may be on a big screen for larger groups so all the guests can see and understand the technical skills that are required such as knife skills presentation techniques and good food practices.
14:40 Preparing and cooking the food commences
16:30 To sum up, cooking concludes and the judges will assess each team’s station and finished bakes, then try and decide a winner!
16:55 Finally the winning team is announced, however we may share any disasters for a bit of fun. Subsequently medals are awarded and proud photo moments for the winning team are shared. During the event debrief your host and chef will share the most amusing moments and finally conclude with thank you’s and goodbyes.
17:00 Event crew commence derig (we leave the event space clean and tidy)
