The sale of sushi has taken Britain by storm over the past few years, simply look at the supermarket shelves to see how our eating habits have changed, and for good reason! Sushi is low in fat and packed full of omega 3 and vitamins. Sushi making is a great way to spend a few hours learning some new skills; we can run this activity as a class or with a competitive edge in which teams must work together. Success will be quickly visible and delicious.
On arrival the group will be greeted by our chef, guests will then be divided in to cook zones to make a variety of sushi. Our Sushi chef will open with a garnishing demonstration to coach guests in using their knives correctly and to learn some fruit and vegetable carving in order to present their finished sushi later in in the day.
Following the practical session another demonstration from the chef is given to include classic and modern sushi such as Maki Sushi, and Ura Maki (Californian roll) and a classic dragon roll. Guests will then make their Sushi creations with their new found skills.
We will include display and take away containers complete with chopsticks, wasabi mustard and soy sauce. This is a great event if you want to give your team a unique experience and learn new skills.
Competitive side?
Each team will then have to come up with the best sushi display, we will include slates and plates for them to get creative. A perfect event if you want to give your team a unique experience learning new skills.
After judging guests can enjoy the fruits of their labour and eat what they have made, we will also provide some take away boxes if guests decide they want a tasty snack for the trip home.
