An excellent pre or post dinner activity, and perfect for either networking or client entertainment, we can arrange this to be formal event with a facilitator hosting a talk and tasting session using some fine ports and matching cheeses, or an informal relaxed session with cheese and port tasting stations set up around the room for guests to enjoy at their own time and pace.
We can run this event either formal or informal style;
Informal using tasting zones set up around the room, guests can visit each area at their own leisure to indulge in whatever tempts them and we will provide tasting notes and cards.
Formal, guests can sit down and be entertained by our in house tasting experts with their wealth of experience and sometimes edgy humour, they will make sure your guests are made to feel welcome and special with banter and keep the experience, fun, engaging and informative.
Port: Our Sommelier has sourced some of the very best Ports to suit your needs and budget, a typical tasting session will include a Ruby port rich in color that usually includes Vintage, a Tawny Port: that has been barrel aged and comes from a vintage crop to give it delicious distinctive nut and caramel flavor, and even a White Port made with white grapes to give a lighter fresher taste and matched with a Innes goats cheese log, we will also bring a mystery port and have some fun matching it with one of our cheeses.
Cheeses: What meal would not be complete without cheese? We believe here in the UK we have some of the best Cheese producers in the world! Of course we are famed for our cheddar but there is so much more we can offer here in the UK, let our chefs pick you some of our favourites to inspire and wow your guests, a typical tasting will be 1 blue cheese, 1 soft cheese, 1 cheddar and a mystery cheese all from the UK and using Ewes cows and goats and on occasion buffalo milk and after a short and informative talk and tasting session on the cheeses we will attempt to match them with our ports on offer.

Depending on the style you would like will depend on the format we would follow, e.g informal guests will enjoy the items at their own leisure using tasting notes and cards, and for formal we would seat guests at tables then serve and introduce each category in turn to the guests matching some of the cheeses and port.
16:00 – 17.00 Event crew commence derig (we leave the event space clean and tidy)
